Our client located in Chicago, IL (60606) is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their team!
Ideal candidate will be responsible for running full life cycle payroll bi-monthly for both union and nonunion employees. Will also be responsible for tracking time off, responding to employee inquiries, management of the time-keeping system, reconciliations, journal entries, audit schedules and reconciliation of the general ledger. Bachelor's degree preferred with 3+ years of previous payroll/accounting experience. Previous experience running payroll for up to 400 employees desired. Salary up to $67K. Generous PTO and holiday package. Also offers Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k with match, tuition reimbursement, professional training and 6 weeks of parental leave.

Ideal candidate will be needed to formalize the HR department. Responsible for recruiting, retention, back up to payroll, JD's, training, performance, compensation, E/R, HRIS (Paylocity) and compliance.
